Last Road Planning Workshop

The workshop is an invitation to reflect on how to plan your own passing with your loved ones and yourself in mind. During the meeting we will reflect on the boundary between planning your death and funeral and letting go. We will consider different approaches in three stages:
Thesis - What would your ideal goodbye scenario look like?
Antithesis - Should controlling your life end with your last breath?
Synthesis - How do you find the balance between responsibility and freedom, between planning and acceptance?
The Last Road Planning Workshop is a space to think about how much control we need over death in order to approach life with greater peace of mind.

11:00 - 13:00

Workshop on employee well-being

The workshop is aimed at funeral professionals and funeral service providers. The aim of the meeting is to identify strategies for dealing with stereotypes and emotional strain at work and to jointly develop constructive ways of releasing and working through emotions. Participants will leave the workshop with a set of ideas for individual and group activities to take better care of themselves and regularly look after their own mental and physical well-being and, in the long term, to counteract professional burnout.

Proxima Parada is a foundation based in Gdańsk, founded in 2023 by Aleksandra Kminikowska, Łukasz Jaroń and Konrad Królikowski – experienced artists and cultural managers. Its aim is to initiate and implement valuable artistic and educational projects that address the topics of death, mourning and the end of life in an open, empathetic and socially responsible manner.

The foundation works at the interface of culture, art and social reflection, organising workshops, meetings, film screenings and performance events. It supports the creation of spaces to talk about difficult, often overlooked, yet universal and deeply human issues.

Proxima Parada also distributes contemporary documentaries and produces videos for cultural institutions and community organisations.

Life is worth talking about - support for families after the death by suicide of a loved one

The conference accompanying Funeral Expo 2025 will be a unique event that symbolises the journey – both the one travelled by those saying goodbye to loved ones and the one followed by the funeral industry as it adapts to society’s changing needs and modern challenges.
The conference programme has been divided into three thematic days, each focusing on a different aspect of the funeral industry: from practical solutions to digitalisation to psychological support.

The Funeral Expo 2025 conference is a space for sharing experiences, building relationships and opening up new opportunities for the funeral industry. We believe that it will be an event of exceptional content and social value, combining tradition with modernity.

The conference’s patron of honour and content is the Polish Chamber of Funeral Industry, which oversees its programme and the selection of speakers.
